Free TON Weekly Meetup #47. Japan sub-governance presentation

by lerika

Today, March 30, the forty-seventhweekly meetup of Free TON representatives took place. It was attended by Roman D., Ben Sunderland, Vladislav Ponomarev, Ron Millow, Mitya Goroshevsky, Hector Rivera, Moo Young Lee, Junya Yakamoto, Alexander Filatov.

Representatives of DGO SubGovernance spoke about the implementation of BFTG (Byzantin Fault Tolerant Governance). This development is the result of a competition in which rSquad team won.

The presentation of the Japanese subgovernance was next according to plan. Representatives of the project in Japan are planning to launch a large-scale SMM campaign to promote Free TON, and they are also actively working with the community.

In the technical part of the meetup, Mitya Goroshevsky said that the restart of the Rust network is scheduled for today. The team has fixed a bug in TVM so the system is ready to restart.

The Mexican Sabgavernance spoke about the progress of the work: the number of participants in their groups on social networks has increased significantly, the team has created a training bot in Spanish, which contains all the basic information about the project. Also, this subgovernance wants to work not only in Mexico, but throughout Latin America, so it was proposed to rename it to LATAM SubGovernance.

At the end of the meeting, the colleagues discussed the partnership with Cointelegraph. The community is concerned that this partnership is ineffective. In other words, the budget allocated for this partner far exceeds the amount of work that has been done by Cointelegraph for the benefit of Free TON.
