Free TON Weekly Meetup #33. Validator onboarding

by lerika

Today, December 15, the thirty-third weekly meetup of Free TON representatives took place. It was attended by Ron Millow, Alexander Filatov, Mitya Goroshevsky, Roman D., Cyril Paglino, Evgeny Berdnikov, Patrick Brian, Alex Novikov, Nikita Ishakov, Ivan Kotelnikov, Nina Elsbet, Hector Rivera.

The onboarding of validators and the adding of a new DePool contract took place live as a part of the meetup.

Also, representative of TON.Labs talked about the update in the development of the safety card. He said that work on the creation of the cards is being carried out in a regular mode, everyone can apply for a card through the TON Surf interface. The cards will go into mass use early next year.

Then the conference participants moved on to discussing the Virtual Hero contest. As it turned out, the winner’s work was not created by him but was bought. However, in the terms of the contest, there was no wording that the competition work could not be purchased. Also, the fact of the purchase of the work was revealed after the voting. Technically, there is no reason not to pay out prize tokens to the “winner”.

This was followed by a presentation of the French Subgovernance. It is a group of people who speak French, aiming to promote Free TON. It will include residents of France, Canada, Switzerland, Belgium, Morocco, and North African countries. Promotion of the project in this segment will be based on the cultural and ethnic characteristics of the audience.
