Free TON Weekly Meetup #13. Updates and proposals discussion

by lerika

Today, July 28, the thirteenth weekly meetup of Free TON representatives took place. It was attended by Mitya Goroshevsky, Zenah Teoh, Boris Ivanovsky, Roman D., Ivan Kotelnikov and Ron Millow.

The agenda included discussion of the release of the new voting interface, the remainder of the unallocated tokens after the contests, the announcement of three upcoming contests for developers, as well as the latest information on the validator contest.

At the very beginning of the meetup, Ron Millow commented on the upcoming distribution of tokens for the last 2 stages: the DevOps contest and the award to the jury members. The winners of the DevOps competition, as well as the selected jury members, will receive their rewards by the end of the current week. The delay was due to technical issues.

Millow also suggested that we consider one pro-site that was posted on the forum. This is a proposal to choose ambassadors for the Free TON project in different countries. These people will promote the project in their country, in their language. This competition will be divided into 2 stages. At the first stage, the most qualified ambassadors in different countries will be selected. Also, at the first stage, key indicators will be established for all ambassadors, the compliance with which they will have to demonstrate at the second stage of the competition.

Further, Mitya Goroshevsky highlighted the progress of the validator competition, and also said that the start of the fourth week of the competition will be postponed to next Monday.
