Free TON Weekly Meetup #9. Contest progress discussion.

by lerika

Today, June 30, the weekly meetup of Free TON representatives numer 9 took place. It was attended by Mitya Goroshevsky, Pavel Prigolovko, Mikhail Khokhlov, Roman D., Brandon Dillan and Ron Millow.

There were three issues on the agenda, the first of which was a technical update of the network and information about its current state. The second is the progress of The Crystal Game validators competition, and the third is news about the results of the jury’s choice (JURY SELECTION 1.1).

As for the state of the mainnet, it is completely back to work. However, the Ton.Labs team intentionally does not open clusters in order to carry out some more technical improvements and fixes, as well as to install missing patches. Ton.live network will be restored within 24 hours.

As for the Crystal Game validator contest, the participants of this contest will need to update the software of their nodes in the near future, since the formula by which the rating of the contest participants is calculated has a vulnerability.

Then the participants moved on to the news of the jury competition. Unfortunately, last week there was no technical opportunity to post the results online. After all the clusters are restored ton.live, the results will be published. Everyone will be able to see reviews for their applications.

Pavel Prigolovko said that the team is now developing a unique algorithm for accumulating ratings on the forum, which will be synchronized with the voting system. This concept has not yet been finalized to perfection, but over time it will be fully ready and presented to the community.
