Today, June 16, the sixth weekly meetup of Free TON representatives took place. It was attended by Alexander Filatov, Mitya Goroshevsky, Roman D., Brendan Dillon, Ron Millow, and a representative of the Free TON community from Africa – John Kanyiri.
On the agenda is the news of the validator contest, namely the Crystal Game, which aroused great interest among forum users. The site ton.live has now published the leaderboard of the contest participants and all its progress is available to those interested at any time. The number of participants in the competition exceeded 300, which is undoubtedly a good indicator for such a young project.
A critical error was found in one of the smart contracts of the network responsible for elections a few days ago. One of the developers of TON.Labs last Sunday eliminated the consequences of this error on the Free TON network. This situation once again demonstrated the importance of formal verification, which was discussed during the weekly meetup last week.
The colleagues also discussed the KYC requirements for validators. Mitya Goroshevsky noted that at the moment, validators are not required to provide any personal information if they do not want to.
Also, the problem with blocking the official Free TON website by IP from some countries, in particular from Iran, was identified and fixed. This was announced by Mehdi, the moderator of the Iranian group in a telegram.
